The Financial Consultant will join a growing team who is accountable for the day-to-day financial support of multiple National Accounts clients. The Financial Consultant is part of an overall team tasked with understanding the customers' needs and wants and focused on delivering group benefit products that meet those needs, along with delivering a service experience that exceeds expectations and makes it easy for customers to do business with Met Life.

The Financial Consultant is responsible for overall accountability for the financial operations of multiple National Accounts clients, including monthly billing, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, financial analysis of plan performance, auditing, and reconciling data. This position is being added to our team to support the growth of our business in our Customer Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team who is focused on delivering best in class service and financial support to our group customers.

Success in this role requires the ability to build strong long‑term client relationships, being consultative and identifying customers financial needs, collaborating with internal teams and third‑party administrators to resolve issues and implement solutions, and the ability to independently navigate in Microsoft Excel, leveraging formulas to streamline workflow and create efficiencies in our day‑to‑day responsibilities.

• Overall accountability for the financial support of multiple complex National Accounts clients: responsible for the development and completion of customer financial reports, including identifying reporting needs, data and trend analysis and effectively communicating results to meet client needs.
• Responsible for client billing, reconciliation, and partnering with internal and external contacts to ensure billing is entered accurately and timely.
• Prepares year‑end financial accounting and ERISA reporting for clients; validates monthly revenue projections and responsible for data integrity.
• Responsible for monitoring the key financial parameters of internal management reporting and capable of proactively identifying discrepancies, trends, and results that would impact Customer Unit financial objectives.
• Participates in client meetings, in person or via conference call, and prepares materials as needed, participates in client account audits and actively engages in the strategic planning process.
• Strong focus on identifying efficiency gains with customer and/or internal processes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced accounting/math problem‑solving skills, including attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work autonomously or with others to effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately, and remain flexible.

• BS/BA degree.
• 5–7+ years of experience.
• Firm knowledge of group products, services and systems.
• MS Access experience.

Expected salary range: $65,000 – $90,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
