- Manage the plant’s monthly financial close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, cost reports, variance analyses, and key performance metrics for plant operations.
- Monitor inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variances to ensure accurate reporting and cost control.
- Collaborate with supply chain team and operational leadership to oversee costing and inventory management activities, drive performance analysis, support cost reduction initiatives, optimize working capital, and evaluate investment decisions.
- Partner with operations leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, capital spending, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee fixed assets, inventory controls, and physical inventory processes.
- Support internal and external audits and prepare required financial schedules and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide financial guidance and analysis to support business decisions and plant performance initiatives.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff as applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
