Program Support as a Program Manager – Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH / CSP) [Chemical Hygiene Consulting Services] in the Education, And Academia Industry Sector focusing on Risk Management & Compliance Solutions for clients such as Bridgewater State University (BSU) | Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Office Generally Located In CONUS - Bridgewater, MA 02747 and across the North East Region (Of Country/World) Working Hybrid On/Off Client Site.
Deliver practical, hands‑on chemical hygiene consulting services that simplify regulatory compliance, reduce exposure risks, and implement clear, effective safety solutions. Our focused chemical safety expertise ensures measurable risk reduction, protects workplace health, safeguards employees and operations, and strengthens organizational compliance with confidence and peace of mind.
Responsibilities and Duties- Lead Chemical Hygiene Consulting engagement; serve as primary liaison to BSU Director of EH&S; oversee comprehensive review and revision of Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP); conduct regulatory gap analyses aligned with OSHA 29 CFR , EPA (RCRA/TSCA), NFPA, and Massachusetts regulations; supervise laboratory risk assessments (high‑hazard chemicals, exposure controls, fume hood performance, PPE, emergency preparedness); develop compliance matrices, corrective action roadmaps, executive summaries;
manage faculty/staff/student training programs; support inspection readiness; establish performance metrics and continuous improvement frameworks. - Conduct laboratory‑specific risk assessments; evaluate high‑hazard chemical use; assess exposure controls, fume hood performance, PPE programs; develop laboratory SOP templates; enhance chemical inventory lifecycle controls and SDS systems; support CHP updates; perform compliance documentation review; facilitate laboratory safety training and tabletop emergency response exercises; prepare written technical reports and corrective action recommendations.
The role(s) are located in the North East Region, at or near CONUS - Bridgewater, MA 02747. Initially identified Work Site Address (Working Hybrid On/Off Client Site: 131 Summer Street Bridgewater, MA 02747).
Qualifications- Active CIH credential (required); CSP preferred; strong knowledge of OSHA Laboratory Standard; experience with higher education laboratory environments; demonstrated regulatory compliance leadership; experience managing multi‑disciplinary EH&S consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, or related science;
Master’s preferred; minimum 10+ years progressive EH&S experience; 5+ years program management experience; demonstrated experience with university or research laboratory safety programs. - Minimum 5–8 years professional laboratory safety or industrial hygiene experience; experience within higher education or research settings preferred.
