Head of Launch Excellence Responsibilities:
- Drive best-in-class launch capabilities to ensure successful commercialization of pipeline assets.
- Establish and lead Launch Excellence across the organization; provide ongoing support/planning for multiple US therapeutic launches.
- Partner with global/regional cross-functional launch teams to develop launch disciplines, consistent tools, and KPIs aligned to business deliverables.
- Develop agile launch strategies to accelerate launch planning, execution, and integrated resource planning.
- Develop and drive the launch management framework.
- Lead pre-launch launch reviews with cross-functional brand teams against key milestones/objectives.
- Partner with leadership across functions (including medical and marketing) to ensure strategic alignment.
- Develop and implement launch metrics/tracking; monitor progress and impact and enable continuous improvement.
- Support launch readiness by facilitating decision-making, issue resolution, problem-solving, risk management, contingency planning, and change management.
- Establish/oversee launch excellence frameworks, tools, methodologies (Global and US launch playbook), and governance for new launches and market readiness.
- Conduct pre- and post-launch performance assessments; capture lessons learned and evolve the playbook.
- Raise risks within brand/launch plans, inform mitigation strategies and resourcing needs.
- Connect Global/Regional launch teams with the US launch team and share launch progress, risks, and learnings.
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, General Management, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of commercial experience in marketing, product launches, strategy, commercial operations, or related roles in biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical/biotech/life sciences consulting.
- Strong collaboration in diverse, dynamic environments; strategic thinking and problem-solving; ability to influence all levels.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.
- Hands-on leadership; credibility quickly gained.
- Proven track record presenting to senior/cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Significant experience launching multiple pharma/biotech assets/therapies.
- Strong leadership in matrix environments; proven team development/upskilling.
Occasional domestic/international travel (~10-20%).
