The Senior Technical Consultant – Service Now is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality Service Now solutions across enterprise environments. This role leads technical design and development activities, mentors junior consultants, and partners closely with architects, functional consultants, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust platform solutions. Deep expertise in Service Now architecture, scripting, integrations, and best practices, the Senior Technical Consultant ensures solution integrity across the full delivery lifecycle—from design and development through deployment and post go live optimization.
The role plays a critical part in technical governance, performance optimization, and continuous platform improvement.

Senior Technical Consultant – Service Now - Location:
Onsite - Any Persistent office location (Bridgewater, NJ / Charlotte, NC / Bellevue, WA / Plano, TX / Santa Clara, CA) - Job Type: Full Time
- Lead Service Now various modules build, review designs, and enforce coding/guardrail compliance.
- Design complex integrations (Integration Hub, custom REST), data migrations, and orchestration flows.
- Define scalable and maintainable technical architectures aligned with Service Now best practices.
- Review and validate technical designs, code, and configurations produced by the team.
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making support during complex delivery scenarios.
- Guide teammates on Glide APIs, Script Includes, and security (ACL, scoped apps).
- Own non-functional requirements: performance, logging/telemetry, and resilience.
- Plan upgrades and patching; drive defect triage and root-cause analysis.
- Design and develop advanced Service Now solutions using:
- Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs
- Workflows and Flow Designer
- Oversee data migration and transformation using Import Sets and Transform Maps
- Strong understanding of Service Now platform capabilities and release cadence.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum with solid documentation and collaboration skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and problem solving.
- Proficiency with REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server, and common auth (OAuth/SAML).
- Knowledge of ATF, update sets, and instance upgrade best practices.
