Job Title:

Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Healthcare Experience

8–12+ years (with strong healthcare integration exposure)

The Integration SME will serve as a technical and domain expert responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting system integrations for healthcare customers. This role requires deep knowledge of healthcare data standards, integration platforms, and interoperability frameworks, working closely with clinical, business, and IT stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange across systems.

• Act as the Integration SME for healthcare customer engagements
• Design and architect end-to-end integration solutions between clinical, administrative, and third-party systems
• Lead integration strategy using HL7, FHIR, X12, CCD/C-CDA, and other healthcare standards
• Good knowledge of integration tools like Mulesoft/Java Spring Boot/Boomi/Workato etc.
• Work with integration engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Mule Soft, Boomi, or similar
• Define interface specifications, mapping documents, and data transformation logic
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and security standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues in production environments
• Collaborate with clinical, operations, vendors, and internal engineering teams
• Support testing (unit, integration, UAT) and go-live activities
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practices to integration teams
• Participate in customer discussions, architecture reviews, and solution design workshops

• Strong experience with healthcare integration standards:
• HL7 v2/v3
• FHIR (REST APIs)
• X12 (EDI)
• CCD / C-CDA
• Hands-on experience with at least one integration platform:
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML
• Data mapping, transformation, and message orchestration
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

• Deep understanding of healthcare workflows:
• Experience integrating EHR/EMR, LIS, RIS, PACS, payer systems
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate business/clinical requirements into technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable working directly with customers and leadership teams

• Healthcare IT certifications (HL7, FHIR, Integration platform certs)
• Experience in payer/provider environments
• Prior consulting or customer-facing experience
