Inventory Support Technician – Bridgewater, NJ
Inventory and Service Management Technician responsible for ensuring accurate management, preparation, and quality control of company hardware assets. Supports daily operational needs through inventory oversight, administrative tasks, documentation updates, hardware preparation, and coordination with the Deployment team.
Job Responsibilities- Assist with the receiving of hardware and accessory shipments; verify and log items into inventory.
- Prep hardware for deployment, including asset tagging, labeling, paperwork, and accessory pairing.
- Use several enterprise and custom applications on a daily basis.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date inventory records and documentation.
- Monitor hardware inventory levels, tracking availability of laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Help with periodic physical inventory reconciliation, including counts and full audits.
- Order replacement accessories and supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Reset, reimage, and update devices according to current standard configurations.
- Activate, transfer, and deactivate cellular lines of service in portal.
- Update deployment‑related documentation as required.
- Perform quality control checks on hardware replacement and new hire deployment builds.
- Assist with monitoring the Deployment queue.
- Serve as a backup to the Deployment team during peak periods or staffing gaps.
- Assist with hardware lifecycle activities such as returns, decommissions, and refresh processes.
- Collaborate with the Deployment team to support ongoing operational initiatives.
- Assist in basic troubleshooting, configuration, and resolution of common hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with other Technology Solutions (TS) teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking.
- Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize competing tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established procedures consistently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic technical proficiency with hardware setup, imaging, or configuration processes.
- Comfortable working with inventory management or ticketing systems.
- Experience in IT support, hardware operations, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with Windows, iPadOS, mobile device management, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
- Associate degree in a related field.
