About the Role
As a Senior Appian Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable Appian-based workflow solutions that streamline business processes, enhance data‑driven decisions, and improve customer experiences. You will be a valued member of the Application Development team and work collaboratively with business analysts, architects, Dev Ops teams, and enterprise stakeholders.
In This Role, You Will- Lead the design and development of scalable Appian workflow applications aligned to enterprise standards
- Build and optimize Appian components including interfaces, process models, rules, and data structures
- Develop and manage integrations using REST APIs and JSON‑based services across enterprise platforms
- Implement Dev Ops practices including CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve application reliability and user experience
- 6+ years of hands‑on Appian development experience delivering enterprise workflow solutions
- Strong expertise in Dev Ops practices including CI/CD, version control, and environment management
- Advanced experience with RESTful services and JSON‑based integrations
- Solid experience with Maria
DB including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning - Strong BPMN modeling skills with ability to design efficient and scalable business processes
- Experience with Appian AI capabilities for intelligent automation and decisioning
- Strong understanding of enterprise data models and relational database design
- Experience working in hybrid delivery models with distributed teams
- Prior experience optimizing application performance and scalability
- Appian certifications or related BPM/low‑code platform expertise
Hybrid in Bridgewater, NJ. This position requires some days per week in a client office in Bridgewater, NJ.
Note:
This role does not offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future.
The annual salary ranges from $102,000 to $116,000 depending on experience and qualifications. The position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program based on performance.
