Position Information Title

Spring 2026 Equipment Maintenance Technician (Work Study)

Position Description

BSU’s Fitness Center is available to currently enrolled BSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform hands‑on preventive maintenance duties such as inspecting, lubricating, disassembling, assembling, adjusting, polishing, and repositioning of fitness equipment.
Equipment Maintenance Technicians will also be expected to update equipment usage logs and record each task undertaken.

Preferred Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS : Experience using service manuals and making repairs using a variety of hand tools.

• Experience in a related field such as auto, motorcycle, bicycle, small engine, or appliance repairs
• Certifications a plus

Physical Demands

Able to reposition fitness equipment and lift loads of at least 60 pounds. Should have no allergies to lubricants, polish, or dust.
