Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a hard-working and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Bridgewater, MA.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of operations professionals to achieve operations targets and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of operational plans with business goals and objectives.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to develop operations personnel.
  • Oversee production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • A minimum of eight years professional experience
  • Ability to build interdependent partnering relationships that facilitate the accomplishment of Operation's goals/objectives.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to be based on site and support up to 10% domestic and international travel.
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or other relevant fields. Experience in a warehousing operations environment.
  • Experience in the Healthcare/Medical Devices industry.
  • Experience working in FDA-regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of capacity planning, financial competence and a basic understanding of lean manufacturing technologies.
  • Formal lean six-sigma/process excellence training and/or certification.
  • Analytical skills utilizing digital tools such as Power

    BI, Alteryx, or Tableau
Other:
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
