Position Summary

The Quality Engineer/BOS Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining Business Operating Systems and ensuring Quality BOS deliverables are planned and executed.

Responsibilities
  • BOS quality procedure development and maintenance.
  • Completion and submission of customer PPAP.
  • Review and approval of supplied material annual PPAPs.
  • Management of Layered Process Audit and 5S audit schedules, completion, and corrective action implementation.
  • Define BOS objectives and obtain Quality Manager’s approval of targets.
  • Lead plant cross‑functional teams to ensure BOS objectives are met.
  • Coordinate BOS/IATF certification audits.
  • Develop processes to implement, achieve, and maintain BOS/IATF certification.
  • Maintain document control per BOS requirements and deploy BOS Corporate document releases.
  • Audit BOS/IATF processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • Train all plant departments and teams in BOS procedures and IATF requirements.
  • Provide awareness of changes and updates to BOS procedures and TS16949 to plant teams.
  • Maintain all plant business operating systems document revisions.
  • Support Quality Analyst responsibilities during absences, including conducting Poke‑Yoke audits, completing seat audits, and processing non‑conforming material.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:

High school diploma minimum required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with IATF requirement experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Organizational and administrative skills related to documentation and record keeping. Ability to speak effectively to a group of team members or customers.
