Client Overview
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization specializing in high-volume production for consumer and regulated products, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Line Mechanic. Positions open on both first and second shift. The environment emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry standards.
Position OverviewThe Manufacturing Line Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting high‑speed production equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures production lines operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm or 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, with overtime on Saturdays.
Salary$20/hr - $40/hr, depending on experience and technical skill level.
Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on mechanical support for manufacturing production lines.
- Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Support equipment changeovers in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Utilize shop tools and equipment safely and effectively to repair and fabricate components.
- Inspect parts and tooling to ensure conformance with specifications and diagrams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance and Production teams to meet operational goals.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and critical parts inventory tracking.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Well‑versed in pneumatic systems and electromechanics.
- Experience in maintaining and supporting high‑speed industrial processing equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
- Understanding of workplace safety requirements and compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable team player with attention to detail.
- Experience working with filling, packaging, or automated production equipment.
- Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., quality‑controlled or cGMP settings).
- Exposure to mechanical and basic electrical systems.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical or vocational training is preferred.
