Job Summary

The Principle Scientist, DMPK is responsible for planning and performing in vitro and in vivo ADME studies that contribute to research and development activities. The incumbent is also responsible for communicating experimental results to his/her supervisor and the project team, working cross‑functionally with internal departments and external resources as part of discovery science project teams. The role supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

Seeking Principal Scientist to act as the DMPK representative, partnering cross‑functionally with biology, chemistry, and pharmacology teams to support research projects. This individual will play a key role in data generation, interpretation, and presentation, helping project teams determine which compounds should advance. The role is heavily focused on the discovery stage, with some involvement in development activities (e.g., supporting NDA preparation).

Candidates should have strong hands‑on DMPK experience, the ability to work in the lab (limited bench work), and fluency in discussing metabolism, pharmacokinetics (PK), and/or bioanalysis. A strong background in metabolism is preferred, although PK experience is also valuable.

Qualifications
  • PhD + 5 years of DMPK experience OR Master’s + 6 years of DMPK experience
  • Strong pharma industry DMPK experience
  • Hands‑on expertise (metabolism preferred; PK/bioanalysis also relevant)
  • Ability to interpret and present data to cross‑functional teams
  • Experience managing outsourced studies (CROs)
  • Individual‑contributor role within a small DMPK team, with opportunities to broaden scope
