Aerie - Merchandising Team Leader; Assistant Manager

Your Role

As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader’s "go-to" in developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into great merchants who deliver AEO brand visual standards every day. Through your leadership, the team always nails floorset execution and upholds merchandising and marketing brand standards. You ensure the store is always "guest ready" through effective replenishment and represent our company values by bringing your REAL self to work every day.

• Drive sales as a key Leader on Duty by maximizing fitting‑room and sales‑floor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience. Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and support the Team Leader in developing short‑ and long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs.
• Coaching your team to deliver outstanding guest experiences while keeping the store representative of AEO Brand Standards. Lead day‑to‑day merchandising, sell‑through adjustments, and replenishment, and proactively identify merchandising opportunities.
• Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values, hold them accountable to customer‑service standards on the sales‑floor and in the fitting room, and be a role model for integrity and compliance with safety, asset protection, and company policies.
• Recruit, hire, and train strong talent to meet business needs, ensuring the store is always staffed appropriately and the team develops to provide exceptional service.
• Continuously provide performance feedback through coaching, team touch‑bases, development plans, and performance reviews, while celebrating outstanding performance and fostering associate engagement.
• Execute and innovate daily operational procedures, support the team in maintaining visual standards throughout every zone, and guarantee fitting rooms are always guest‑ready.
• Maintain safety standards, adhere to asset‑protection protocols, and conduct yourself with the highest level of integrity.

• Love AE and Aerie products.
• Previous retail management experience leading teams.
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams and general understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen and flexible availability to work during guest‑shopping hours.

• Actual starting pay determined by experience, location, and other factors.
