Store Manager
We are looking for a Store Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a single Kay store. The Store Manager reports to the District Manager and is responsible for sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and the growth and development of the team.
Responsibilities- Lead and coach the store team to meet sales and profitability goals.
- Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience through training and onboarding.
- Lead daily operations, including inventory control, visual merchandising, and store compliance.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends and improve performance.
- Communicate corporate initiatives and execute plans to support business objectives.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and employee performance to optimize staffing and cost control.
- Foster a people‑first culture that promotes diversity, inclusion, and professional growth.
- Handle customer issues and be empowered to resolve them within established parameters.
- Maintain store cleanliness and brand standards across all assets.
- Minimum of 2 years of college education.
- At least 3 years of retail sales experience, or 2 years of retail sales plus 1 year of retail management experience.
- Preference for candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience and Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification.
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and related technology tools.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem‑solving, and conflict‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Employee must stand, reach, move between display cases, and lift up to 10 pounds. The role requires visual acuity for jewelry inspection, as well as the ability to sit, stoop, bend, kneel or crouch as needed. Standard workweek includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours. Travel for training and business meetings, sometimes including air travel and overnight stays, may be required.
CompensationBase pay $50,000 – $81,300 plus commission on sales. Final pay rate depends on experience and qualifications.
