Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the Advanced Wound Care portfolio of surgical products within a defined geographic area. You will work with a team to optimize business strategies and drive sales within the territory.
Responsibilities- Promote and sell the portfolio of surgical products and understand the competitive landscape to achieve sales results, quotas/targets, and profitability goals.
- Develop new target accounts, establish new business, and increase sales in current accounts.
- Develop and maintain action plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) by analyzing territory performance, sales and reports to identify the needs of specific accounts and discuss issues with the Regional Sales Manager or Area Sales Director to help achieve annual sales goals. Identify, prioritize, pull-through, and close opportunities.
- Ensure effective utilization of the products by all trained health care professionals within the assigned territory.
- Network and build relationships across multiple care settings (e.g., OR, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, Care Coordinators, Cath Lab, L&D) and use information to build territory strategy.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the Company’s products, channels and distribution methods.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of clinical evidence and articulate the evidence-based value proposition.
- Demonstrate clinical understanding of targeted surgical procedures.
- Optimize utilization of educational and KOL events (e.g., trade shows, local presentations at OR department meetings, educational meals).
- Develop and cultivate KOL (Key Opinion Leader) relationships.
- Keep the regional manager informed of territory progress on a regular basis.
- Plan calendars effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Attend national, regional, and local meetings as required and represent Convatec in a professional manner.
- Adhere to travel policy, company compliance policy, and standards of business conduct and ethics, including relevant industry codes of practice.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Two or more years’ experience in B2B or medical sales in a complex selling environment.
- Demonstrated success in highly competitive, growth-oriented sales environments preferred.
- Experience selling in Operating Room (OR) or surgical environments preferred.
- Documented history of sales success with rankings or awards.
- Experience selling through distributors is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).

- May work evenings and weekends.
- Normal hearing, visual acuity, and manual dexterity required to listen, speak, read, write, use a computer, and handle files and sample products.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver objects up to 40 pounds.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory area.
Travel requirements: 50%.
