Position Summary: The Sales Operations Manager works in close collaboration with the VPs of Business Development and drives various operating mechanisms and processes to maximize sales performance. The role includes driving the annual sales target-setting process, acting as a CRM expert on , performing territory analytics, supporting the revenue budget-setting process, organizing monthly sales funnel reviews, aiding in annual strategic planning, and other duties as assigned.
DailyResponsibilities
- Lead the annual sales target-setting process working closely with the finance, operations, and sales leadership team. Determine needed new sales to support revenue growth over 3-5 years and allocation across technologies and territories.
- Act as the CRM system () expert for a business unit or specific sales technology team, providing key reporting, training, problem solving, and data validation/review.
- Perform territory analytics using external market data and internal data to maximize coverage, win rate, and overall sales efficiencies. Make recommendations on adjustments such as sales force size and deployment.
- Support the revenue budget-setting process with the Corporate and Site finance teams by calculating revenue burn rates to ensure forecasted wins convert to revenue within the budget timeframe.
- Organize and drive monthly sales funnel reviews with the business development teams and sites, utilizing Catalent’s standard sales process methodology to ensure consistency and rigor in managing sales opportunities.
- Assist business unit leadership in the annual Strategic Planning processes, providing necessary analytics on sales, customer growth, and market trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferably in finance, Six Sigma, or operations.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead change.
- Ability to process data and apply critical business thinking to produce simple recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills at all organization levels.
- Strong organizational sense.
- Willingness to travel globally to various Catalent sites.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and
The annual pay range for this position in New Jersey is $89,200 – $122,600. Final salary may vary based on experience, industry, skill set, education, and business needs.
