Position Summary
The Sales Operations Manager works closely with the VPs of Business Development to drive operating mechanisms and processes that maximize sales performance. Responsibilities include leading the annual sales target‑setting process, acting as the CRM () expert, performing territory analytics, supporting revenue budgeting, organizing monthly sales funnel reviews, and providing analytics for strategic planning.
Responsibilities- Lead annual sales target‑setting in collaboration with finance, operations, and sales leadership.
- Define new sales requirements to support 3‑5 year revenue growth and allocate targets across technologies and territories.
- Act as the expert for a business unit, providing reporting, training, problem solving, and data validation.
- Perform territory analytics using external market data and internal data to maximize coverage, win rate, and overall sales efficiencies.
- Recommend adjustments to force size and deployment.
- Support revenue budget‑setting with finance teams by calculating revenue burn rates.
- Organize and drive monthly sales funnel reviews with business development teams and sites.
- Utilize standard sales process methodology to ensure consistency and rigor in managing sales opportunities.
- Assist business unit leadership with annual strategic planning, providing analytics on sales, customer growth, and market trends.
- Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in finance, Six Sigma, or operations.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead change.
- Data processing and critical business thinking to develop simple recommendations.
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel globally to Catalent sites.
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and
Annual pay range in New Jersey: $89,200 – $122,600. Final salary will vary based on experience, industry, skillset, education, and business needs.
