Work Study Equipment Maintenance Technician
BSU’s Fitness Center is available to currently enrolled BSU students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform hands‑on preventive maintenance duties such as inspecting, lubricating, disassembling, assembling, adjusting, polishing, and repositioning fitness equipment.
Equipment Maintenance Technicians will also be expected to update equipment usage logs and record each task undertaken.
Eligibility Requirements- Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Must have Work Study award in your financial aid package.
- Experience using service manuals and making repairs using a variety of hand tools.
- Experience in a related field such as auto, motorcycle, bicycle, small engine, or appliance repairs.
- Certifications are a plus.
Able to reposition fitness equipment and lift loads of at least 60 pounds. Should have no allergies to lubricants, polish, or dust.
