Salary: $21 per hour

Center For Family Services is seeking a full-time Cook for the Juntos Program located in Bridgewater, Somerset County, NJ. The Cook will be responsible for overseeing the ordering and overall management of distribution of food within the program and act as a positive role model for children. Juntos provides temporary shelter, support with family reunification and home study services to unaccompanied minor children who immigrated into the United States.

Bilingual/Multilingual preferred.

• Oversee the processing and storage of food and food-related items as they are delivered.
• Participate in internal and external audits and performance improvement activities.
• Submit menu alterations to supervisor.
• Check email at least once a day and reply to requests as necessary.
• Interact with children daily to ascertain whether they like the meals served.
• Ensure food is ordered on time and served at the appropriate temperature.
• Understand Juntos Standards and licensing regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Associate’s in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
• 2 or more years of experience working with the program population.
• Must pass all screenings required by funders and/or licensing agency.
• Federal and State regulations require employees in this position to be fully vaccinated; as of the CDC definition, fully vaccinated means receipt of the initial vaccination and at least one booster shot.
• Current New Jersey driver’s license with at least three years of driving record.
