Propane Delivery Driver

Role Overview

The Propane Bobtail Driver ensures the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. The driver loads, unloads, and transports propane while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining strict safety standards. Vehicle inspections and maintenance are part of the daily responsibilities.

Flex Position: 40 hours per week during Winter Peak Season (September–March). Flexibility from April–August with a weekly schedule. Saturday and Sunday work may be required during peak season. Overtime may be necessary when business demands arise.

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and cylinders).
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use technology to monitor and record propane inventory, tank levels, and container sizing. Prepare and submit delivery tickets and daily driver reports.
• Maintain equipment to safety standards; report mechanical issues to Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct pre‑ and post‑vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; promptly report any product, customer, or safety issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driver experience preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or
  
  B.
• Preferred tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Ability to work overtime and on call.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

The hourly rate ranges from $28.00 to $32.00, based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
