Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring a Shipping And Receiving Specialist in Bridgewater, NJ

The individual will perform daily receiving, delivery, order fulfillment, packaging, and shipment duties of component boxes and materials. Conducts scheduling of orders, ensures accuracy of packaging products, and scans barcodes within the SAP ERP system. Will work with other employees and departments to resolve shipping and receiving matters.

• Position: Shipping/Receiving Specialist
• Location: Bridgewater, NJ
• Duration: 1 year contract
• Shift: M-F 8-4:30pm, weekends as needed
• Pay: $24-26/hr DOE

Estimated Min Rate: $24.00

Estimated Max Rate: $26.00

• Receive incoming shipments, unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages
• Complete daily inbound receiving of product and packages and notifies recipients accordingly
• Deliver shipments to appropriate departments/locations within the facility and/or to a 3rd party site as required
• Responsible for packaging within the shipping system, daily component packaging, and customer customization order filing within the delivery and packing system.
• Schedule orders and ensure accuracy of packaging products; double boxing and palletizing
• Scan barcodes of shipping modules to the SAP ERP system for record keeping.
• Coordinate and provide support with employees and/or other departments to resolve shipping and packaging issues and matters.
• Perform and complete any other tasks/projects as assigned.
• Maintain inventory and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse and carries out facilities maintenance duties as needed
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet requirements.
• Pack and ship orders to internal and external customers in the most efficient manner.
• Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of warehouse experience
• 1+ years of GMP experience
• 1+ years of related warehouse experience within the consistent areas of material handling, shipping and receiving, distribution, and/or operations
• Good understanding of basic/fundamental warehouse shipping and receiving

• Experience and skill in SAP/ERP Systems is preferred
• Experience with handling cold chain shipments (Cryo/LN2)
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently
• Ability to perform within a changing workload and/or priorities and meet order schedules with quality results
• Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment, and willingness to motivate and support others
• Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills are preferred (i.e.: Google Suite)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Work Environment- while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The temperature in the work environment may not always be regulated
