This role is well-suited for a finance professional who is eager to grow within a collaborative environment, deepen their understanding of non-profit financial leadership, and take on increasing responsibility over time.
This is a full-time, in-person position based at the JCC in Bridgewater. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during audit periods, financial cycles, or major community events.
Accounting Operations & Month-End Close
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
* Maintain general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations
* Assist with variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
* Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
* Help ensure proper revenue recognition practices
Financial Management & Reporting
* Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
* Support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
* Collaborate with the CFO and department leaders to review financial performance
Non-Profit Compliance & Controls
* Support compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards
* Assist with audit preparation and required schedules
* Contribute to strengthening internal controls and financial policies
Operations & Collaboration
* Partner with program and development teams to support financial needs
* Help identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and efficiencies
Professional Growth Opportunity
This role is intended for a finance professional who aspires to grow into a Chief Financial Officer position. The Associate Director will partner closely with the CFO, gaining hands-on experience in both the operational and strategic aspects of nonprofit financial leadership, including exposure to board-level discussions and long-term planning.
As the organization plans for the future, there may be an opportunity for this role to evolve into senior financial leadership. Any such transition would be based on performance, readiness, and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
* 4-6+ years of progressive finance experience
* Experience in non-profit accounting and financial management
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
