Position: Human Resources (HR) Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to support people operations in New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position will serve as a key partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, policy application, compliance, and workforce practices. The role requires a hands-on HR leader with strong attention to detail who can strengthen manager capability, promote a positive employee experience, and use people data to support informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the review, maintenance, and local adaptation of HR policies to align with employment laws and organizational standards.

- Advise managers and employees on workplace policies, employee relations matters, and practical HR best practices across the full employee lifecycle.

- Handle sensitive employee relations issues, including performance concerns, absence matters, disciplinary cases, grievances, and role exits, with fairness and legal compliance.

- Partner with legal, operations, and people leadership teams to reduce employment risk, support governance activities, and maintain accurate audit-ready documentation.

- Deliver training and guidance on policy updates, performance management, team effectiveness, and other people practices to build manager confidence and consistency.

- Conduct regular check-ins with people leaders to understand team challenges, provide coaching, and support effective employee lifecycle processes.

- Support recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and employer branding initiatives in collaboration with operational stakeholders.

- Drive local engagement and retention efforts through activities such as pulse surveys, 90-day check-ins, exit interviews, and follow-up action planning based on feedback.

- Maintain country-level people resources and ensure internal HR information pages remain current, accurate, and useful for managers and employees.

- Monitor trends in attrition, engagement, and employee relations, and provide insights that help guide workforce decisions and continuous improvement. Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in human resources, with strong exposure to employee relations, HR operations, and policy administration.

- Demonstrated knowledge of labor law compliance and employment practices, with the ability to apply requirements accurately in day-to-day HR work.

- Experience managing employee lifecycle activities from onboarding through offboarding in a structured and compliant manner.

- Ability to balance business priorities with employee advocacy while handling sensitive situations with sound judgment and discretion.

- Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience advising managers and building effective working relationships across teams.

- Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage documentation, reporting, and multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in performance management, policies and procedures, and HR compliance practices.

- Experience working within a global or matrixed organization is preferred.

+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, or a related field required
