Platers Wanted - Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Project We are currently seeking experienced Platers to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Plant. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to work on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

• Proficient in using fabrication drawings to develop fabrication plans and select appropriate tools and equipment.
• Fabrication shop assembly experience, including burning and grinding.

Strong plating skills, including cutting, preparing, shaping, fabricating, and assembling plate and steelwork.

• Experience with skin casing, duct work, hangers, and supports – fabrication and repair.
• Ability to work from task‑specific instructions, including method statements and task plans.
• Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes.
• Competent in interpreting engineering drawings.

• Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plating, Fabrication, Welding, Structural Steelwork, Shipbuilding, or Metalworking
• OR Minimum Level 3 Diploma in the same fields
• OR Minimum Level 6 (if awarded in Scotland)
• OR ACE Card – Level 3 in Plating
• OR Chinese Diploma in Welding and Fabrication

• Pass a Competency‑Based Interview with a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Minimum 5 years of verified experience in a plating role

• Standard working hours: 38 hours/week, Monday – Thursday
• Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates
• Generous night‑shift uplift
