Position: Mechanical Maintenance Plumber
Type: Permanent
Location: Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £38,500 – £42,000, Mon-Fri 40 hours per week
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Commercial Plumber to work within an estates team in providing maintenance and repairs to mechanical plant room such as AHU’s, pumps/valves, plumbing & pipework and venting. The role is a permanent position paying £38,500 – £42,000. Mon-Fri 40 hours power week days. Based in the Bridlington area.
Mechanical Maintenance Plumber Description- To undertake a proactive role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services. All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance.
- Represent in a respectful and professional manner.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and plumbing works
- Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, as per site contract.
- Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.
- Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety
- Maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic.
- Willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades/colleagues.
- After a qualifying period take part in the callout/standby rota.
- Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
- Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager.
- Diligently complete all required job cards and other work-related paperwork to the required standard.
- Complete work within the allotted time frames.
- Carry out any other identified tasks commensurate with role.
- Previously worked within a maintenance environment.
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing or mechanical engineering / HVAC
- Experience of working in commercial grade environments and AHU’s, FCU’s, LTHW, Pumps, Pipework, Valves, Portable Water Systems and Water Hygiene Systems etc.
- PPM & Reactive Work
- Able to pass DBS checks
- Valid driving license
