Description:

The Business Development Engineer must have 10+ years of experience.

Job Functions:

Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Function:

* Support Regional Commercial Managers and a network of sales representatives in developing and maintaining new business by serving as an in-person, customer-facing, technical resource

* Build and sustain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and specifications.

* Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, demonstrating the highest level of professionalism as a sole representative of the company.

* Lead strategic engineering and business planning initiatives to drive business growth and enhance product knowledge.

* Mentor and guide less experienced team members.

* Travel frequently to customer office and trade shows to support business development efforts. Occasional travel will be required to customer field locations and facilities.

* Live within 50 miles of an International Airport in the following states:
California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah (Nearby states will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

* Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the company; therefore, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering

* 3+ years of experience in the Electric Utility or Pole Manufacturing Sector

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in engineering or business

* Transmission and distribution systems industry experience

* Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license

* Customer facing experience

* Steel Product Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
