Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and monitoring throughout the childbirth process and immediate postpartum period.

Responsibilities:

• Administer labor and delivery nursing care following established protocols.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs using fetal monitoring equipment.
• Assist physicians with deliveries, including C-sections and newborn procedures.
• Educate new mothers on postpartum care and newborn procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (Meditech, CPN).
• Respond to on-call situations promptly, providing necessary support and care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
• Proven experience in labor and delivery, nursery, or postpartum units.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and CEFM or Awhonn fetal monitoring.
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend schedule.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
