Role Description- We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and administrative operations. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and performing high-volume data entry with precision. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers and deadlines. Position is located in Commerce City/Brighton area and is Part-Time (24 hours weekly) with the ability for flexible hours.
- Collect invoices, sort, send for approval, and enter into accounting software
- Maintain vendor records and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly
- Track lien waivers, W-9s, insurance certificates, and vendor compliance documents
- Process new hire paperwork
- Time card entry
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounting department
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 1–3 years of accounts payable, accounting, or data entry experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience with subcontractor pay applications and billing
- Experience in a fast-paced construction environment
