Job SummaryWe’re looking for an Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in our bidding and pre‑construction processes. If you have a keen eye for detail, extensive experience in landscape or reclamation estimating, and a passion for building, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate cost estimates. Identify risks and opportunities in project scopes and pricing strategies. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Stay updated on industry costs, labor, and material pricing trends.
- Participate in post‑bid reviews and project hand‑offs to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to execution.
- Utilize estimating software and tools (e.g., B2WEstimate, Bluebeam, BEAM AI) to streamline processes.
- Lead bid preparation, including subcontractor/vendor outreach and negotiations.
- Prepare detailed takeoffs, pricing, and proposals for private and public sector projects.
- 5+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on commercial landscape and/or large‑scale reclamation projects.
- Proficiency in industry‑standard estimating software (B2WEstimate preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- A background in landscape or reclamation construction would be highly beneficial.
- The position is in an office, offering some flexibility in work location.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Design/Architecture, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and cost structures.
- Competitive salary based on experience. Salary $80,000–$100,000
