Job SummaryWeareseekingadependableandhardworking Pipe Layertojoinourconstructionteam.
Theidealcandidatewillhave3+yearsexperienceinstallingundergroundutilitysystems,including water,sewer,andstormdrainpipelines.
Thispositionrequiresworkingoutdoorsinvariousweatherconditionsandcollaboratingwithequipmentoperatorsandlaborerstocompleteprojectssafelyandefficiently.
- Install water,sewer,andstormdrainpipeaccordingtoprojectspecifications.
- Gradeandpreparetrenchesforpipeinstallation.
- Alignandsecurepipesectionsusingpropertoolsandequipment.
- Readandinterpretblueprints,grade stakes,andconstructionplans.
- Assistwithexcavation,back filling,andsitecleanup.
- Ensureproperslopeandalignmentofinstalledpipe.
- FollowOSHAsafetystandardsandcompanysafetypolicies.
- Performroutinemaintenanceontoolsandequipment.
- Workeffectivelyaspartofaconstructioncrew.
- Previousexperienceasapipelayerorundergroundutilityworkerpreferred.
- Abilitytoreadconstructionplansandusemeasuringtools.
- Knowledgeofundergroundutilityinstallationpractices.
- Abilitytoliftupto
75poundsandperformphysicallydemandingwork. - Reliabletransportationandastrongworkethic.
- Valid driver’slicensepreferred.
- OSHAcertificationisaplusbutnotrequired.
- Pay:$24-$30/hour,dependingonexperience
