Position: Representative I Experience

About the Role As an Experience Representative, you’ll be the first friendly face our members see when they walk through the door. You’ll support the Y’s mission by building genuine relationships, answering questions, and helping members find the programs and resources that best fit their goals.

Provide information about membership options, programs, and services.

Handle member check-ins, program and membership inquiries.

Support membership growth through outreach, tours, and positive member experiences.

Work closely with the team to ensure the Y remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all.

What You BringA genuine passion for people and community connection.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to multitask in a busy environment while staying positive and composed.

Comfort using basic computer systems for member accounts.

Prior customer service or front desk experience is a plus — but we’ll provide training!

POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Experience Director, the Representative will be point of contact for prospective new members, current members and guests. The incumbent will handle membership sales and administrative items while demonstrating enthusiasm to members and guests. The Representative works alongside the YMCA Center team to deliver world-class customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSInterdepartmental collaboration to ensure facility/programs are meeting member’s needs

Develops positive relationships with members and participants and provides motivational support and guidance focusing on the needs of the member

Conducts membership tours, enrolls new members and processes/reviews member applications, including performing/reviewing data entry on all membership requests

Assists Experience Director with member phone calls, emails, surveys and marketing efforts

Assists members and participants with program registration, answers inquiries, including member concerns and provides information on membership and programs

Circulates throughout the building to ensure safety of users and security of building

May act as manager on duty if assigned
