General Orthopedic Surgeon PRN – Brighton, Colorado
About this rolePRN General Orthopedic Surgeon position to cover 24‑hour call coverage at Platte Valley Hospital, a level III trauma community hospital in Brighton, CO. The team includes 3 orthopedic surgeons, 3 podiatrists, and 5 experienced APPs. Candidates will take orthopedic trauma call and work PRN with a variable schedule, including 24‑hour shifts on weekdays, weekends, or weekly. No hand call or spine call.
Fellowship training or general orthopedic surgeons are encouraged to apply.
- $1,080 per 24‑hour shift
- Hourly rate – $394 per hour
- Travel and accommodations reimbursed via Intermountain Travel and Expense policy

What you’ll bring- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, or equivalent if completed outside the United States
- Completion of a graduate fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery
- Graduate education from an ACGME or AOA accredited institution
- ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in orthopedics or a subspecialty
- Active medical licensure in Colorado, or being in the process of obtaining licensure for practice in the state
- BLS certification for healthcare providers
- DEA registration as required
- Ability to complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- Visa sponsorship not required at this time
