Position Summary
Are you passionate about classical education and supporting the culture of a growing classical charter school? We seek a substitute teacher who can support our school by filling in whenever a teacher is out. You will work at both our campus in Brighton and/or our Home School Enrichment program in Dacano. We want someone who sets high standards, has a professional demeanor, and a can‑do attitude.
EssentialFunctions
- Follow lesson plans to teach and supervise classes as needed.
- Respond promptly to teachers’ requests for a substitute.
- Communicate with teachers by leaving notes on daily events, progress, or challenges.
- Build positive student relationships by holding them to high standards of conduct.
- Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.
- Maintain collegial, professional relationships with colleagues and staff.
- Complete all required training and provide documentation.
- Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance, reporting on time and following proper procedures for absences or tardiness.
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Commitment to the high moral character necessary to sustain ordered liberty and constitutional self‑government.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Adherence to all school policies.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to develop positive and professional relationships with team members.
- School experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to traverse the classroom and the school.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer.
- Must be able to supervise outdoor duties for at least 40 minutes per session.

- Convictions for violent crimes, such as assault or domestic violence.

- Drug‑related offenses, particularly those involving distribution or trafficking of controlled substances.
- Certain felony convictions, depending on nature and recency.
- History of certain misdemeanors that may raise concerns about suitability for working in an educational environment.

Other InformationOur company participates in E‑Verify. We will provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee’s Form I‑9 to confirm work authorization.
Salary$19.00 – $21.00 per hour.
