Crescent City Recruitment Group is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a school-based role in Brighton, CO. This position offers an $8,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates must hold an active Colorado Special Education teaching license. New graduates are welcome to apply. This is an on-site role supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities- Provide direct instruction and specialized academic support to students with disabilities in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and ensure access to the general education curriculum
- Collect, analyze, and report student progress data; adjust instruction based on data
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to deliver inclusive services
- Manage classroom routines and behavior supports using evidence-based practices
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and supports
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies, including documentation and timelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Maintain a safe, positive, and culturally responsive learning environment
- Active Colorado Special Education teaching license (required)
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Brighton, CO (required)
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance with IDEA and Colorado regulations
- Skills in differentiating instruction and using accommodations/modifications for diverse learners
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Classroom management skills and experience with positive behavior supports
- Data-driven instructional practice, including progress monitoring and documentation
- Proficiency with educational technology and special education documentation systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field;
Master’s preferred but not required - New graduates accepted; relevant student teaching or practicum experience considered
