About the RoleHello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Mild/Moderate & SSN Special Education Teacher to support students in Brighton, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, academic support, and behavioral interventions to students with a wide range of learning, communication, and functional needs.
You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement IEPs, foster student independence, and create an inclusive, supportive classroom where every student can thrive. Whether supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities or those with significant support needs, you'll play a meaningful role in helping students reach their full potential.

- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with each student's academic, behavioral, communication, and functional goals
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with mild/moderate disabilities and significant support needs
- Create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Implement behavior supports and positive intervention strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction as needed
- Complete progress reports and maintain compliant special education documentation
- Support students in developing academic, social-emotional, communication, and independent living skills, as appropriate
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with students with mild/mod disabilities, significant support needs, or diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong classroom management, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
