Role Overview
The CV Invasive Specialist I performs cardiac catheterization procedures, providing technical support and patient care in a clinical setting.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare procedure rooms, assist with invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, document hemodynamic data, and ensure patient comfort through education and emotional support. Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment, administer medications under supervision, and assist with hemostasis procedures. Maintain accurate documentation, develop skills in equipment use, and support procedural workflows.
Qualifications & SkillsBLS certification, healthcare experience or relevant education, and state licenses where applicable. Skills include patient assessment, equipment operation, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication. For Specialist II, registration or certification as RCIS or RCES, and experience with complex procedures are required.
Physical RequirementsAbility to read monitors, manipulate delicate equipment, assist with patient transfers, and navigate busy clinical environments.
