Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned positions, including intake meetings, job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and support through the offer stage.
- Draft, update, and maintain job postings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with organizational standards, internal policies, and federal/state employment laws.
- Conduct phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, interest levels, and organizational alignment.
- Coordinate interview details for candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with candidates to ensure positive hiring experiences.
- Support pre-employment processes such as reference checks, background checks, driving records, employment verifications, pre-employment physicals, and onboarding coordination.
- Source, recruit, screen, and interview candidates in collaboration with hiring managers to understand position requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
- Accept, organize, and distribute applications for open positions.
- Inform prospective candidates of job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation, benefits, and career advancement opportunities.
- Respond to applicant and external recruiter inquiries regarding open positions.
- Coordinate employee relocations when applicable.
- Administer and promote the employee referral program.
- Utilize job boards, career sites, social platforms, and community partnerships to attract qualified talent.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical schools, universities, workforce centers, and community partners.
- Assist with applicant tracking system (ATS) data entry, report generation, and maintenance of accurate recruitment records.
- Prepare hiring documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and federal/state employment laws.
- Support Human Resources’ projects, career fairs, and recruitment-related events as needed.
- Answers inquiries relating to company policies, benefits, and hiring processes and refers more complex questions to appropriate Human Resources staff.
- Assists with planning and execution of events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
- Assist the Safety and Facilities teams with badging and access requests for employees.
- Responds to verbal and written verifications of employment and information requests.
- Provides clerical support to the Human Resources department.
- Maintains the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of human resource information, files, documentation, and records.
- Performs or assists with periodic audits of Human Resources files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Enters data into the human resources information system (HRIS).
- Creates, expands, and maintains professional and productive working relationships with peers and stakeholders. Works collaboratively with colleagues and fosters a spirit of cooperation and inclusion in the workplace.
- Performs other such duties as may be requested or assigned to fulfill the needs of United Power in the interest of good management practice.
Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, and a minimum of two (2) years of applicable human resource, recruitment, or talent acquisition experience.
Licenses and Other RequirementsMust possess a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Must have working knowledge of recruitment best practices, interviewing techniques, and employment laws.
- Must have advanced skills in the application of office procedures. Must have skills working with web-based and networked sites.
- Must have an advanced knowledge of word processing, databases, and spreadsheet software, and have general knowledge of electronic filing systems.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to follow and execute processes and embrace changes quickly.
