Summary / Objective
The Working Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping, receiving, and material handling operations in a water and ice kiosk assembly plant while actively participating in hands‑on tasks. This role ensures efficient workflow, accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Working Lead supports and guides a small team, promotes productivity, and serves as the first point of contact for operational issues on the floor.
Compensation: +$4/hour from current rate.
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of shipping, receiving, and material handling associates.
- Perform hands‑on work including loading/unloading, picking, packing, staging, and inventory movement.
- Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper tracking, cycle counts, and system updates.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to meet production schedules and shipping deadlines.
- Train, coach, and support team members to improve performance and efficiency.
- Enforce safety protocols, proper equipment use, and housekeeping standards (5S).
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to resolve material or workflow issues.
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with reporting, documentation, and basic administrative duties related to operations.
- Regular and predictable attendance for required schedule.
- Follow safety guidelines and act in a safe manner.

- Use of PPE as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
- 5+ years of leadership or team lead experience is preferred.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong understanding of inventory control and material flow processes.
- Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and basic inventory systems.
- Basic computer skills (ERP/WMS systems a plus).
- Manufacturing/assembly plant environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and industrial equipment.
