Position: READY MIX DRIVER- NO CDL

This role is responsible for safely operating a Ready Mix truck to support production needs while maintaining equipment in proper working condition. The position also includes routine maintenance, cleanliness standards, and assisting with additional equipment operation as needed. Success in this role requires attention to safety, mechanical awareness, and flexibility to support various plant operations.

Salary: $25.62/hour, based on experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Perform light maintenance and basic service work on the Ready Mix truck to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Deliver concrete to production forms accurately and in a timely manner based on workflow demands.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Ready Mix truck, including washing with approved cleaning solutions and maintaining the mixing drum.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure the truck remains in good mechanical condition.
  • Assist with troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and report larger concerns promptly.
  • Operate additional heavy equipment when not actively driving the Ready Mix truck to support plant operations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures while driving and operating equipment.
  • Complete special projects and provide general support as assigned by supervisors.

The ideal candidate is a safety‑focused, dependable individual who is comfortable operating both a Ready Mix truck and other heavy equipment in a production environment. They bring a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the flexibility to support multiple areas of the plant as needed. This person is reliable, detail‑oriented, and takes pride in maintaining equipment and contributing to overall operational efficiency.

IDEAL

CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment: forklift, crane, skid steer, loader, excavator, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to learn safe and efficient operation of a Ready Mix truck.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to perform light maintenance.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently.
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location).
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high‑visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
