About This Role:Join Crusoe Energy as an Assembly Lead and spearhead the final assembly of our innovative manufactured products and components. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring every product is completed with precision, properly packaged, and expertly palletized for shipment. This role is crucial for maintaining our production flow and upholding our commitment to quality, as you will meticulously review work orders to guarantee your team has all necessary resources, from hardware to in‑house parts.
You will also coordinate with other department leads to proactively prevent any material shortages. If you are a hands‑on leader with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for operational excellence, this is the role for you. This is a full‑time position.
- Assembly Crew Leadership: Lead, train, and coach your assembly crew, fostering a high‑performing and collaborative environment. Manage crew PTO and sick time to ensure optimal manpower and uninterrupted departmental operations.
- Work Order and Material Verification: Meticulously review work orders to confirm the availability and accuracy of all required materials, including hardware, components, and in‑house parts.
- Product Labeling and Compliance: Oversee the review and proper installation of company logos, labeling, NEMA Ratings, and UL information on all finished products.
- Production Schedule Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with other department leads and the production manager to ensure production consistently meets required schedules.
- Schedule Adherence and Communication: Ensure strict adherence to production schedules and communicate any changes promptly to internal teams, including Project Management and Sales, to maintain alignment.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within your work team, focusing on enhancing procedures, processes, and methods to ensure safety and quality in every task.
- Work Area and Inventory Management: Maintain an organized work area, keep parts inventory accurate, and manage materials efficiently to proactively prevent production delays.
- Team Resource and Backfill: Act as a flexible floater and vital resource, stepping in to backfill production team members when required to ensure continuous operational flow.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Possess a high level of mechanical aptitude for understanding assembly processes and troubleshooting equipment.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 lbs, and to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
- Computer Operation: Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back to efficiently operate computers and related equipment.
