Quality Control Inspector

QC Inspector Tasks & Duties
  • Dimensional Inspection:
    Using calibrated tools like micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and pin gauges to ensure parts meet blueprint tolerances.
  • Visual Inspection:
    Checking for defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, discoloration, or weld spatters.
  • In-Process/Final Inspection:
    Inspecting parts at various stages of fabrication to prevent rework (includes 1st piece and flat piece inspection).
  • Documentation:
    Reviewing technical documents and maintaining detailed inspection records.
QC Inspector Shift Info

Day Shift, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

QC Inspector Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
  • QC Inspector experience preferred.
  • GED / High School Diploma.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Able to work in the US.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Tool Proficiency:
    Expertise in using standard metrology equipment (calipers, gauges, etc).
  • Experience:

    Generally 2+ years in manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication.
  • Attention to Detail:
    High level of accuracy to ensure product integrity.
  • Communication:
    Reporting defects and collaborating with production teams.
Common Inspection Procedures
  • First Article Inspection (FAI):
    Validating the first part of a production run to ensure setup accuracy.
  • Sampling:
    Evaluating a statistically significant subset of a batch.
