Compensation
Pay Range: $14.81 - $21.00 per hour (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location). Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Job SummaryThe Parts Specialist provides high level of service to retail and installer customers, supporting store management in accomplishing assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi‑5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Promptly greet retail/walk‑in customers in a friendly and courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, including accurate parts lookup, quoting prices, recommending premium items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee.
- Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash/checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
- Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting, facing, and cleaning.
- Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center and assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and company requirements are met.
- Perform in‑store services for customers (where state and local laws allow) such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging system, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and replacing headlight capsules.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate (driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements).
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
- Ability to follow directions and perform tasks accurately.
- Familiar with automotive parts, cataloguing, Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service.
- ASE certification (desired).
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
