To provide managerial support to the Cooler Department and assist other departments as needed.
Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise associates in the Cooler Department, Shipping/Receiving, and warehouse office staff.
- Assign duties and schedule employee work hours, break periods, and vacations; conduct periodic evaluations in accordance with HR policies.
- Assist other warehouse supervisors and associates with departmental procedures, warehouse policies, and job duties.
- Follow up on customer concerns or complaints, review discrepancy reports, and drive resolutions that support positive relationships.
- Maintain responsibility for sanitation standards throughout the Cooler department and warehouse/offices.
- Ensure seal policies are properly followed for all outbound loads.
- Promote a positive work environment and serve as an effective team builder.
- Work closely with staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are met and clearly communicated.
- Maintain flexibility and the ability to work any shift as required by business needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take initiative to implement and supervise Cooler operations.
- High proficiency in computer systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Some college-level training preferred, but relevant warehouse supervisory experience is acceptable.
- Experience in warehouse supervision, preferably within the wholesale or distribution environment.
- Some college-level management coursework and/or two years of warehouse supervisory experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs.
