Anesthesia Technician

Shift: Evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Shift Length: 8 hours

Contract Length: 13 weeks, Guaranteed

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent required, graduate of anesthesia technology program

Certifications:

Current BLS Certification, Anesthesia Technician Certification required

Experience:

One year of Anesthesia Technician experience in a multi-disciplined OR in an acute care hospital setting preferred, or one year in a Critical Care or Stepdown unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant

Skills:

Strong mechanical skills, highly organized with attention to detail, capable of working independently, excellent interpersonal skills, adaptable to change

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist the anesthesia team before, during, and after patient procedures in various operating rooms
• Maintain and restock anesthesia supplies and equipment
• Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines, replace anesthesia gas tanks
• Disassemble and disinfect used anesthesia equipment
• Prepare anesthesia supplies, including hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing staff during procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards

Compliance / Notes:

• Participate in emergency situations and assist with equipment maintenance as directed
• Follow hospital protocols for monitoring and inventorying supplies
