The Operating rooms cater to our busy inpatient and emergent surgical needs across dozens of surgical specialties. Recent OR expansions mean the most updated and advanced surgical equipment including a dedicated hybrid room Da Vinci Robotics room and renovated team spaces. The OR offers a fast-paced high-skill collaborative work environment where you will work in all surgical service specialties with highly trained teammates.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an RN you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit including assessing diagnosing planning intervening evaluating and educating patients
- Communicate with various health care team members patients and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Nursing degree:
Diploma ASN or BSN (preferred)
Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
CNRO certification (preferred)
Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
2 years' operating room experience required
3 years preferred
Must be experienced in a circulating role
KNOWLEDGE &
SKILLS:
Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification required for certain practice areas
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
Basic computer proficiency
Fluency in another language a plus

Compensation Range: 39.02- 90.05
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education experience and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
