Role:
Specialty Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Schedule:

12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM;
Every other weekend and holiday.

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Hours:

36 per week

Requirements:

- MA License

- BLS Certification

- ACLS Certification

- NIHSS Certification

- 2 years of RN ICU experience with multispecialty ICU (including CCU, SICU, MICU, NEURO, CT)

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Basic computer proficiency

- Telemetry experience; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Deliver nursing care in the ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.

- Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.

- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.

- Update and manage patient records.

- Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing department.

- Assist in quality improvement projects as needed.
