Job TitleRegistered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
LocationBrighton, MA
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 12-hour shifts, Day/Night Rotation (7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a multi-specialty ICU setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and manage computerized data entry and interpretation
- Adhere to nursing department guidelines, policies, and established protocols
- Support the leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an ICU setting with multispecialty exposure (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT ICU)
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Telemetry experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Basic computer proficiency and effective verbal and written communication skills
- BSN degree preferred;
Diploma or ASN also considered - Experience floating to Med/Surg units
- Work within a collaborative, dedicated nursing team in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU, providing high-acuity, patient-centered care
