Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts, 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a multi-specialty ICU setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records accurately and in a timely manner
- Enter and interpret computerized data and clinical information
- Assist the leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed; may be required to float to Med/Surg when necessary
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an ICU setting with multispecialty exposure (CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT ICU)
- Nursing degree:
Diploma or ASN required - Active Massachusetts RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Telemetry experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across care teams
- Basic computer proficiency with experience entering and interpreting clinical data
- Work within a collaborative, dedicated nursing team in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU, providing high-acuity, patient-centered care
