Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Civil/Concrete Estimator to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for preparing estimates for civil infrastructure and concrete projects. Projects will range from new construction, renovations, expansions, and various service projects within multiple market sectors. Your expertise will help drive project success from pre-construction efforts to competitive bid & spec opportunities.

- Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Estimate labor, material, equipment, general conditions and other related costs for self-performed civil & concrete including formwork, rebar, concrete placement and finish
- Quantify supporting trades such as, re-steel, earth retention, dewatering, etc.
- Negotiate subcontractor/supplier quotes and issue subcontracts & purchase orders
- Develop bid schedules and project schedules
- Review specifications and contractual requirements with project team members
- Develop proper scopes of work during bidding phase and upon award
- Present proposals, schedules and execution plans to owner and customers
- Conduct job hand-offs with project managers and project engineers. Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process
- Complete any assigned training and continuous improvement
- 7-10 years of civil construction experience
- Ability to conceptualize and quote projects with limited specifications
- Strong ability to comprehend technical drawings, specifications and contractual documents
- Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office, Bluebeam, Onscreen, Primavera
- Strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent professional training and experience required
- Experience in project management
